War Support Explained
More often than not, you can increase War Support in Starship Troopers: Terran Command by completing mission objectives. The vast majority of the time, you’ll end up acquiring more points without knowing it, as you simply progress from one part of the map to the other.
For instance, in one mission, you’re tasked with capturing Radio Stations. Each one that you control adds extra War Support. In another example, there is a multitude of side objectives, such as tagging Ammo Caches and clearing Bug Hives.
In short, just look at the upper-left corner of your screen to see the objectives. Complete them, and you’ll have all the War Support you’ll ever need. You can check how much you have by looking at the value next to the eagle symbol at the bottom of your screen.
Spending War Support
War Support has a few uses in Starship Troopers: Terran Command:
It’s the resource needed if you wish to construct special buildings in outposts/radio stations. These buildings give you access to higher-tiers of units, such as Rocket Troopers, MK. II Troopers, Snipers, Tactical Officers, and more.
Additionally, you’ll spend War Support if you want to construct defenses like turrets (deployed by the Combat Engineer). Given that some missions culminate in a base defense sequence against countless hordes, you’ll want to make sure that your turrets can eliminate your foes from a distance.
That’s all you need to know about War Support. To make the most of things and not get killed, you’ll also need to know how True Line of Fire and True Line of Sight work. If you lose soldiers, which you will, here’s what you need to know about calling in reinforcements. And capturing outposts is worthwhile, too. Finally, you’ll need to know which units have which abilities and skills to win the war.
